Philosophy:

At Mudpies & Lullabies Preschool, it is our belief that children learn about themselves and the world around them through play.  Our hands-on curriculum allows children to learn through experimentation.  As children explore their environment, self-learning occurs in a natural and spontaneous way.

We believe it is equally important to create a safe and caring environment, where each child is respected as an unique individual and encouraged to develop socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically.

We also feel that a child's main job in life is to have fun, fun, fun!  Our warm and friendly environment will help to accomplish this objective.

We practice a Policy of open enrollment at Mudpies & Lullabies.  We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap.

The Program

Our program includes daily activities to allow children to:

•  Learn while having fun at the same time
• Work independently and make choices according to individual interests and abilities
• Interact in both small and large group settings with children their own age
• Work with a variety of hands-on materials
• Develop social skills, such as cooperating, negotiating, helping, and solving interpersonal problems
• Learn more about a wide variety of areas through the use of themes
• Play in a variety of interest centers, which include: art, science, math, dramatic play, listening, library/books, invention, construction, sensory and music / movement.
