At Mudpies & Lullabies, our main goals are to:

• Provide a program that is developmentally appropriate, where children are encouraged to learn according to their individual needs and interests.
• Provide many experiences, materials, opportunities, and time for children to develop socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically.
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment where children explore, experiment, manipulate, and use their natural curiousity to solve problems and learn about the world around them.
• Provide experiences and activitiesthat foster a child's self-esteem, self-trust, and positive feelings toward learning.
• Provide a learning experience that meets the needs of both the children and their parents.
• Provide opportunities for children to develop independence, and a desire to be self-motivated, responsible learners.

CLASS SESSIONS:

3 Year Olds

This program is designed to allow children to learn through exploring and experiencing the world around them.  Here, children are exposed to play many activities that encourage them to use their developing language skills as well as their curiousity and imaginations.  Children are introduced to activities that teach important socialization skills such as sharing, following directions, and self-control.

* Children attending this class must be fully toilet trained.

3 1/2-4  Year Olds

Since play is a child's work, this class is structured to let children truly enjoy learning!  Here, students choose daily from a wide variety of interest centers that encourage them to develop self-confidence, self-direction, and positive feeling toward learning.  They will continue to build upon their socialization skills, and experience the early successes he or she needs to grow while having fun at the same time!

* Children attending this class must be fully toilet trained.

Pre-K / 4-5 Year Olds

The Pre-K program offers a wide variety of exciting opportunities and challenges designed to meet the needs of children who will be entering kindergarten.  Learning becomes more individualized when students are encouraged to work in the areas of the classroom that interest them most.  In this class we will help students develop confidence in the areas of reading and math readiness, as well as language development.
